"I dream of spreading the experiences music has to offer"
Ms. Conklin grew up in Oberlin, Ohio where she was exposed to many different genres of music and participated in her school’s band program, private piano and euphonium lessons, and an international touring nonprofit children's choir, The Oberlin Choristers.
Coming from a musical family ranging from a father who sang classic 1970’s rock hits to having a classical vocalist as a brother, Natalie’s passion for music and the performing arts was natural.
In her free time, Natalie likes to spend time outdoors, collecting vinyl, playing piano, hula hooping, and spends copious amounts of time listening to the Grateful Dead and Fleetwood Mac.
During Natalie’s time at Bowling Green State University, she prepared to launch herself into the world of music industry. She has worked with small artists from Northern Ohio. Natalie has helped these bands pin down their brand, improve their social media, create and sell merchandise, and assist with media relationships and booking.
Since graduating in December of 2021, Natalie began working as an intern for Toledo Alliance for the Performing Arts (TAPA). Here she has worked with creating programming materials, including work on their mobile app, managing websites, and creating other marketing materials, both digital and print.
In May of 2022, Natalie accepted a full-time position with TAPA as Marketing Associate & Social Media Coordinator. In August of 2022, she took a deeper dive into the organization taking a position as Artistic Operations Manager where she works with guest artists, contracts, riders, travel and hotel accommodations, and also serves as assistant to the orchestra manager, all in addition to her marketing role.
Some of the top name artists Natalie has worked with include David Foster & Katharine McPhee, John Robinson, Branford Marsalis, and Yo-Yo Ma.
Natalie’s long-term goal is to become an Artist Manager. The young professional is currently looking to gain experience in the music industry to help reach her goal.
Bowling Green
State University
2016 - 2021
Graduating from Bowling Green State University in December of 2021, Natalie received her Bachelor of Musical Arts with a minor in Music Industry. Her primary instrument being the euphonium, Natalie has much gratification taking part in the low brass community.
The first few years of her degree she studied as an education major but realized that her true love is working with music outside of a classroom setting.
During her time in the music industry program, she thoroughly enjoyed every course she took including Artist Management, Music Law, Music Marketing, Recording Techniques, plus much more.
While at BGSU, Natalie was involved with many groups such as the BGSU Wind Symphony, the Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble, and she has also served as the Vice President of the Tuba-Euphonium Falcon Club for two years.
Natalie’s favorite artist and inspiration is Stevie Nicks, as she much aspires to follow in the footsteps of the mystically successful and hard working (but also stylish), female artist who broke many barriers in the world of rock.
